What the ride is actually like
The A1 climbs gently out of Nicosia through Latsia and Kotsiatis, threads the foothills of Troodos, and drops into Limassol from the north. The 404 takes it whole, no city detours, no village stops.

Sit on the left.
On clear days the left-hand side gets the Troodos massif from kilometre twenty onward, snowy in February, rust-red the rest of the year.

It does not stop at the airport.
Common confusion: the 404 bypasses Larnaca airport entirely. For an airport transfer, take the 402 to Larnaca first, then connect.

USB on newer coaches.
Roughly half the fleet now carries USB-A sockets. The remainder is older Setras, fine ride, just bring a battery.

Friday 17:00 fills up.
Weekenders heading to Limassol fill the late-afternoon runs. The 16:00 and 18:00 are quieter alternatives.
