Accessibility.

This site should work for everyone, on any device, in Greek or English. Here's how, and where it still falls short.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on aloya.cy. This is a goal we test against, not a certified result.

What we do

  • Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
  • Every illustration has a text description.
  • Pages respect your system setting for reduced motion.
  • Greek and English pages are marked with their language, so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
  • Layouts reflow down to 360 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
  • Live departure boards announce updates politely, without interrupting.

Known gaps

  • Operator logos are images; their names are given as text alongside.
  • Some timetable tables are wide; on phones they become a row of cards you swipe through.
  • Forms open your email app rather than sending directly.

On the buses

For low floors, ramps, wheelchair spaces and step-free hubs on the buses themselves, see Before you board in the guide.
