Where you catch it
From Limassol: New Port Roundabout interchange, Intercity Buses bay (signposted 'Lefkosia / Λευκωσία'). From Nicosia: Solomos Square, lower deck.

What the ride is actually like

Joins the A1 within minutes of leaving the New Port and stays on the motorway the whole way. One mid-route pickup at Limassol's Linopetra interchange, then non-stop to Solomos.

    Daily commuter rush.

    The 06:30 and 07:30 outbound fill with Limassol-based civil servants. For a quiet seat, take the 09:30 or after.

  2. 02

    Watch for Kofinou.

    About thirty minutes in, the A1 splits, left fork for Larnaca, right for Nicosia. The driver takes the right; if you wanted Larnaca you boarded the wrong bus.

  3. 03

    Solomos drop is central.

    Solomos Square is two minutes from Ledra Street, the Old Town's main pedestrian artery. Most central Nicosia hotels are €4–€6 by taxi from here.

  4. 04

    Friday evening crush.

    The 17:00 and 18:00 returns to Limassol fill first, university students heading home. Take the 16:00 instead for a guaranteed window seat.
