Who they are.

EMEL, the Transport Company for Limassol District, runs the scheduled buses of Limassol: the seafront and city lines, the routes to the suburbs and the village services across the district. Stations at Leontiou Street and My Mall have staffed counters. Fares follow the national tariff and the Motion card works on every bus.

What to know before you board.

  • Seafront traffic

The coast road gets busy at rush hour and on summer evenings. Leave a little extra time.

  • Coaches leave from elsewhere

Intercity coaches use the New Port interchange and the Old Hospital stop, not the city stations.

  • Night fares

After 21:00 an urban single is €3.50 on Motion, €4.70 in cash.

  • Village lines are thinner

Some run a handful of times a day. Check the last bus back before you go.
