AloyaCy

A mobility
operating system
for Cyprus.

Aloya starts as the most trusted way to ride the bus in Cyprus. That is the wedge, not the destination. The destination is a platform citizens, tourists, operators, businesses, and the state all touch, each through the surface that fits them. Trust compounds. We do not skip steps.

Cyprus has buses, coaches, scooters, bikes, shuttles, EV chargers, and a national traffic feed. What Cyprus does not have is a single trustworthy way to use any of it.

Riders open competing apps, see a bus that isn't there, and give up. Tourists default to taxis because nothing tells them the coach is forty minutes cheaper. Locals plan around ghosts. The state pays for realtime feeds no app surfaces correctly. We are competing on one question: can I trust what this app just told me? Everything else follows.

Five horizons.

Now → 2028+
  1. H1Now

    The Citizen App

A single Cyprus mobility app a resident, tourist, or commuter can trust.

Every ETA carries a confidence signal. Every failure mode has an escape hatch, walk-out, replan, taxi handoff. Every mode on one map, one plan, one screen. Bus, coach, bike, scooter, park-and-ride, airport shuttle, EV, one product, one voice.

    Shipped
  2. H2Now → 2026

    The Wallet

One tap to pay for any journey on the island.

Motion Card in Apple/Google Wallet. Unified fare surface across every operator. NPT, EMEL, OSEL, OSYPA, IC intercity, Kapnos, taxi, bike, scooter. Honest fare comparison. Group passes, tourist multi-day passes. Anonymous-first.

    Partial
  3. H32026 → 2027

    The Intelligence Layer

The prediction, routing, and reliability engine for Cyprus mobility.

Reliability scoring per route, stop, hour, day. Ghost detection across agencies. ETA fusion of GTFS-RT, rider GPS, sightings, and history. Anomaly detection that turns noise into guidance. Cross-modal routing that ranks by real API-driven ETAs, not haversine math.

    Live
  4. H42027 → 2028

    The Platform

The same engines exposed as products.

Aloya Routing, Reliability, Realtime, Places, and Fare APIs. Web and Mobile SDKs any Cypriot business can drop in. White-label kiosks for airports, hotels, universities. A read-only partner Console, analytics, never levers.

    Planned
  5. H52028+

    The Mobility OS

The default mobility layer of Cyprus.

Aloya inside CarPlay, Android Auto, Siri, Wallet passes, home widgets, Live Activities. The mobility layer for events, tourism, accessibility, and logistics. The citizen app becomes one of many surfaces on top of the same platform.

    Horizon

Six rules. Not aspirations.

  • 01Accuracy over reinvention

Authoritative APIs as source of truth for ETAs, routing, geocoding. Our differentiation is fusion on top of best-in-class signals, not a basic replica of them.

  • 02Honest degradation

If we don't know, we say we don't know. Never fake confidence. Never round a zero-bike station up to one. Every state nameable in one line of plain-language copy.

  • 03Trust compounds

Every rider we lose to a wrong ETA is a lost lifetime, not a lost trip. Every rider we save from a ghost bus tells three friends. We optimise for the second graph, always.

  • 04Citizen-first, forever

Even at Horizon 5 the rider is why the platform exists. A partner API request that hurts a rider's experience is a partner we say no to.

  • 05Anonymous by default

The full app is usable with zero sign-up. Accounts persist history and the wallet, they never gate planning, ETAs, or alerts.

  • 06No dark patterns

No sponsored ranking. No fake urgency. No ads. No cross-app tracking. No data sold. Fastest is fastest.

We remember every bus day.

Kept, not thrown away

Most apps look at the bus now and forget it a minute later. We keep it. Every minute, we write down where each bus is, how fast it moves, and how late it is. We keep the weather with it. We keep the flights that land, the ships that dock, the match that fills the road, and what riders tell us they see at the stop. After a year, that is a full picture of how the island really moves.

The buses

  • Where each bus is, minute by minute
  • How fast it moves on each street
  • How late it is at each stop
  • Whole years of past trips

The island around them

  • Heat, rain, wind and air quality
  • Flights that land at Larnaca and Paphos
  • Ships that dock at Limassol
  • Match days and big events

What riders see

  • Stop reports from riders
  • Fixes when the feed is wrong
  • Transfers made and transfers missed
  • Real walk and boarding times

What the memory gives a rider.

  1. 01

An arrival time that knows the day

A ship docks in Limassol at 09:30 and the coast road slows down. A wave of flights lands and the Nicosia coach fills up. We saw it last time, so we can add the minutes before you feel them.

  2. 02

A warning before the bus vanishes

When a bus stops sending its position in the same way it did on the days it was pulled from service, we say so and offer another way, instead of leaving you at the stop.

  3. 03

A straight answer about your transfer

We can tell you how often that same transfer worked at that hour on that day. If it looks tight, we move you to an earlier bus or a shorter walk before you board.

  4. 04

A note when the bus leaves early

Buses that run three or four minutes ahead cause many missed trips here. Only the record shows which trips do it, so only the record can warn you.

  5. 05

A guess at how full it will be

School hours, work hours and flight waves repeat. We can tell you if you are likely to stand, and when the next quieter bus comes.

  6. 06

A fair report card for operators

Promised time against real time, every quarter, for every operator. No opinion in it. Just what the buses did.

Who else needs it.

Nobody in Cyprus keeps this record today. The towns, the ministry, the operators, the hotels, and the delivery firms all plan without it. We can share it as counts and averages, never as one person's trips. That is a business, and it stays inside our rules: the rider comes first, and rider data is never for sale.

  • The transport ministry and the towns, for road and route decisions
  • Operators, to see where their own service slips
  • Hotels and resorts, for honest travel times to airports and beaches
  • Couriers and delivery firms, for traffic they can plan around
  • Other mobility apps that need the same ground truth
  • Universities studying island transport
