What is the difference between Cyprus Bus and Aloya?

Cyprus Bus is a digital timetable. It shows published schedules per route, mostly in English, with no live tracking. Aloya is a live planner across all seven public operators, in Greek and English, with Motion, Kapnos, Bolt and Nextbike on the same map. Cyprus Bus tells you when a bus should leave. Aloya tells you when it actually will, and says so when it doesn't know.

Is Cyprus Bus accurate?

Its data reflects the published operator timetable, which is correct most of the time but drifts when operators change schedules mid-season, on holidays, or during strikes. Because it isn't live, the app can't tell you when a bus is running late, has been cancelled, or has been re-routed. Aloya cross-checks the same timetables against live GPS feeds and rider sightings, so you see the real ETA, not the printed one.

Does Cyprus Bus work in Greek?

Partially. Most labels are English, with some Greek stop names. Aloya is fully bilingual on every screen, every stop carries both its Greek and English name internally, so search works either way.

Can I pay through Cyprus Bus?

No. It's read-only, schedules and route maps. Aloya carries the Motion card in your phone with Apple Pay / Google Pay top-up, plus a built-in single-fare purchase if you don't have a Motion card.

Should I uninstall Cyprus Bus?

Up to you. It's harmless and small. Most Aloya users keep it as a backup for the rare case where Aloya is offline. But once you've used a live ETA for two weeks, the static version starts to feel like a paper schedule with extra steps.
